The DJ GRIN Youth Impacts Africa Foundation is proud to introduce the Piggery and Goats Project, a community-driven initiative designed to empower parents and teachers through sustainable livestock farming. This project operates under the umbrella of DJ GRIN Impacts Nursery and Primary School, with the main goal of enhancing access to education and improved livelihoods for vulnerable families in our community.
Project Goal
To economically empower parents and teachers through pig and goat rearing, enabling them to support their children’s education and improve their standards of living.
How the Project Works

The Piggery and Goats Project distributes piglets or goats to selected beneficiaries, including:
Parents of pupils enrolled at DJ GRIN Impacts Nursery and Primary School.
Teachers serving at the school.
Once the animals mature and reproduce, Parents can sell the offspring to raise school fees, purchase scholastic materials, or support other family needs.
Teachers benefit from additional income, helping them to improve their economic stability and quality of life.
Project Impact So Far
11 parents have received either a piglet or a goat.
5 teachers have been supported through the program.
The project is already reducing the financial burden of education for several families and contributing to teacher motivation and retention.
